The England manager Expresses Disappointment Over Home Crowd Support Following Emphatic Win Over Wales.

Thomas Tuchel voiced his regret that the Three Lions team did not enjoy greater backing from the home crowd during their commanding triumph over Wales on Thursday evening.

The manager was pleased to see his side continue their good form, with goals from Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Saka inside the initial stages effectively ending the game. Yet, he was displeased with the atmosphere at the iconic venue.

“We had one and a half training days to prepare against a drilled team and we excelled,” the coach commented. “We could have been 5-0 up at the break. We couldn’t score the additional ones. The stadium was silent. There was no support from the crowd. We did everything to win.”

“How much more can you give in the first quarter? We didn’t let them escape. If you hear just the Welsh supporters for 30 minutes, it’s regrettable because the team warranted better encouragement today.”

“I support this statement. We cannot do more than being three goals up in a rivalry match. I would have wished for a little more support in moments where it is challenging.”

“After halftime, to get behind us, there was excessive backing for the opposition. It might have aided us to regain energy, but that’s football and that is it.”

Selection Choices Vindicated by Performance

Apart from potentially starting a fight with fans, the manager also created controversy by excluding Bellingham and Phil Foden from his squad. However the choice was validated by Rogers delivering another standout performance in the No 10 position and netting his maiden goal for his country.

“That’s his style,” Tuchel said. “He is a No 10 and he is vying for his spot.”

Bellamy Hopes for Improvement from Loss

The Wales manager hopes that Wales, who face a strong Belgian side in a crucial World Cup qualifier on next week, learn from their poor first-half display.

“That’s the reason I scheduled this game,” Bellamy stated. “I need to see our standing. Where do we want to go? Who do we want to be? Today fills me with drive.”

Fitness Worry for Watkins

Watkins was substituted at the break after hitting a goalpost and is a concern when the national team play Latvia in the Latvian capital in a World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday.
