A spiritual leader has shared the moment when a individual sought to barge into his Manchester synagogue during a fatal assault, stating "I witnessed wickedness, I witnessed hate".

Rabbi Daniel Walker explained that he and others maintained the gateways of the temple as the assailant was "ramming the entrances, flinging heavy plant pots, trying everything he could to gain entry".
